This is a very different and new but interesting approach, here its more about the practicability than price. We work with farmers in Sri Lanka, they are traditional tea makers and now produce tea powder.
We have customers from Ethiopia drying high-quality coffee, almond milk from California, unique fruits from the Amazon dried in Brazil, algae from South Africa, ginger extract, and dates from Saudi Arabia, among many other products.
We achieve this by providing our most sold model, the FD440, adapted for worldwide use. It comes with worldwide connectivity, an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) for unstable electricity, and can be produced to suit any country’s electricity standards. It can work in harsh, dusty, or cold environments and be adapted for use with nitrogen for citrus fruits, with more power for defrosting, stainless steel trays, and much more. Our technicians can access the machine for diagnostics and to help you find the perfect recipe for your materials.
Besides the machine, we offer consulting on the drying process of your particular product, packaging, shipping, and selling your product to end consumers on platforms such as Etsy, Amazon, Instagram, and through Google in your own shop, among others.
For this, we will provide you with a 50-hour consulting voucher worth up to 2000 EUR for a marketing expert in your region on Upwork to help you get listed and start sales. We also provide you with a comprehensive list of ways to sell products directly online worldwide, including information on production, packaging, listing, design, shipping, and marketing.
We will also grant you a discount on the machine and/or upgrade the machine to your specific needs and help you find financing options if necessary.
If you are a farmer or producer use the form below to apply to the initiative now
Our goal is to partner with producers and farmers to improve your product and enable direct marketing of your materials to consumers worldwide, increase your profitability, lift up your entrepreneurial spirits, and of course, sell machines.

Tigernuts from GhanaTigernuts are used in rural areas mainly as animal feed, while in Europe they are known as an ingredient in Chufa or Horchata. Our customers grind and extract milk from the Tigernuts, using a simple mixer for production. After this, the tigermilk is dried in our machine. The resulting powder is an efficient and high-quality way to produce tigermilk, lasting for years and easy to ship.
Traditionally, the nuts are shipped to Spain, for example, where from 1kg of nuts, about 7 liters of drink is produced. The remains of the nuts are discarded, and a significant portion of the finished product is also wasted, as it lasts only about 24 hours. Financially, the farmer earns 1 EUR per kg of nuts, while customers pay between 25 and 120 EUR for 7 liters of fresh Horchata in Europe.
When produced in Ghana, the situation changes significantly. The price for the powder, if traditionally dried, is about 20 EUR, and up to 70 EUR if freeze-dried. The cost of the material remains at 1 EUR, but now, about 90% of the material can still be used as fertilizer or animal feed. The cost of freeze-drying 1 kg of material is about another 1 EUR. Farmers could sell to wholesalers or directly to customers via Etsy, Instagram, etc., shipping directly and potentially increasing their revenue by up to 2500% compared to selling the nuts directly.
Currently, farmers in India receive about 1000 EUR for a ton of Alphonso Mango, with prices varying significantly over the year. European producers pay about 4500 EUR per ton of mango in Europe. After removing the skin and seed, the producer is left with about 700 Kg of material for freeze-drying. The energy costs for the freeze-drying (FD) process are about 250 EUR, plus another 250 EUR for labor. After freeze-drying, they obtain about 80 Kg of FD material at a production cost of 62.5 EUR/Kg. This material, if of good quality, can be sold for about 75 to 140 EUR/ kg.
By freeze-drying the material in India, the farmer faces similar energy costs but much lower labor costs, around 20 EUR. The material costs are 1000 EUR, resulting in a cost of 15.5 EUR per Kg. They can then market their product directly to the end consumer, gaining flexibility by selling to local wholesalers when prices are high and freeze-drying when local prices are low. On average, they could make roughly 500% more
This highly appealing product involves a rural customer producing a variety of traditional soups on location, using vegetables, spices, and other ingredients from nearby. The soup is cooked with relatively low fat (about 5% only), then cooked down to a thick broth and freeze-dried. The product is sold at a premium and is already packaged on location into single-meal portions. The noodles are added in the destination country, where it is also packaged and branded by resellers. This family business dries 50 kg of broth/24h, resulting in about 10kg of soup powder, which is then packed into 500 pieces of 20g packages, selling each at about 40 cents. This results in a turnover of about 5000 EUR/month at costs around 2500 EUR, including the financing of the FD440 Freeze Dryer.
